On May 20, OLSC members Reid Van Wagoner, Kirk Van Wagoner, Jeff Warner and Dustin Rosa took part in USA Surfing’s “Golf for the Groms” golf tournament to raise funds for the next generation of America’s surfing talent. Proceeds for the event helped support the “Super Bowl” of under 18 surfing June 18-24 at Lower Trestles and Hurley was just announced as the title sponsor, which will host the nation’s top junior surfers and crown our 2024 champions. “Golf for the Groms” was a fun-filled day on the links at the Lomas Santa Fe Executive Golf Course in Solana Beach. Unlike other countries, the U.S. does not receive government funding so programs like USA Surfing helps to strengthen our nation’s youth development program.
